We've found the following websites to be quite useful to our ongoing advisory services.
IRS Forms
This is the official IRS website where one can download the latest US tax forms and publications.
US Code of Federal
Regulations
This is the main search page for accessing the Code of Federal Regulations. It is always good practice to check here
for the lastest version; they do change on a regular basis. If you know the specific title number,
you can jump straight to it at GPO Access.
US Patent & Trademark Office
Takes you to the main page of the US PTO where information on US patents & trademarks can be located. Quick
links to useful search pages include Patent Search and
Trademark Search.
Dallas Central Appraisal District
Find ownership, descriptions & appraisal values for real and business property located in Dallas County. Similar
information for other appraisal districts can be found here.
TCEQ Publications
This site contains the complete catalog of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality publications. Note that the
TCEQ was formerly know as the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission.
These are helpful & practical information to sharpen one's personal & business skills.
The McKinsey Quarterly
Great thought provoking articles on a variety of business management topics - strategy, governance, operations, finance,
etc. The non-premium (free) membership level offers timely & substantive articles, videos & presentations.
BNet
This is touted as the "go-to place for management", and lives up to its promise. It requires a subscription, but the good
news is that it's free. It can, at times be overwhelming. The sheer number of articles and updates, depending upon your
alert settings will never leave you without something to read. Especially nice is their
Business Library with articles, white papers
and webcasts organized by industry and topic.
Harvard Business Review
The title pretty well sums it up. The blog posts are a good read. The downside is that most of the good stuff requires
a premium subscription.
Michael Brandl's Blog
Michael is a macroeconomics professor at the University of Texas' McCombs School of Business. He presents thought
provoking commentary on economic policy decisions in the traditional blog format as well as video segments on
YouTube.
